Fix It Friday
Love this one. Such a cute shot.
Almost makes me want more of them...
but not quite.

Original:

My edit:

Ran a screen at 100%, cropped, Ran Coffeeshop "Moody Pop"
action and then decreased the Moody Pop layer to just 35%
and bumped up the vignette to 50%. Used Powder Room to touch
up the little girl's skin just a tad since she was splotchy
and he was not. Then adjusted levels a bit.

Wonderful Winter
The photographer in me has been dreading winter.
I didn't know what I was going to take pictures of
all season and thought for sure I would be going through withdrawal. However, not having any outdoor photoshoots has forced me to
get creative in finding subjects, practice using my speedlight,
tripod and new lens. I still don't love winter and am counting
down the days until I am on the beach in Florida (even if it's not
exactly toasty there either), but I am learning to embrace the opportunities it has given me and am now confident I will emerge
from it a better photographer.

Saturday with Santa
I was honored to spend Saturday with the jolly man in red.
Thank you to Lenexa Photography for giving me this wonderful
opportunity. Thought I would share a few of the photos.
The first is of Kansas City Chiefs player, Dwayne Bowe.
Wonder if he has been naughty or nice? The second is just
one of my favorites. What parent doesn't dream of a Santa photo
like this? And the third...well, that is how MY child's Santa photo
turned out. Notice my other child isn't in the picture at all.
She wouldn't even come in the room.

This and That II
Just some random favorites I was playing around with this morning while my family was sleeping. That's what happens when you are already shopping at 5 a.m. and get back home by 6:15. Gotta love Black Friday!

Sisters!!
What a blast! These girls are just as pretty on the
inside as they are on the outside and sooo much
fun to photograph! It's obvious they aren't just sisters,
they are best friends too. Besides having great models,
I was thrilled to finally get to try out tons of backgrounds
that I have been eyeing for a long time, but haven't had
the time or right models to use. I am really happy with
how they turned out.
